Cranberries are often used to treat urinary tract infections.
This standardised and patented Cranberry extract is derived from the whole fruit (pulp, skin, juice and seeds) and several scientific studies have proven its efficiency (1-3). In particular, this extract has been shown to reduce the bacterial load and reduce the adhesion of $E. coli in vitro$ (2,4). This synergy of plants acts in three ways: it boosts immunity via vitamin C in its natural form; it helps to reduce the adhesion of E. coli in the urinary tract and reduce the bacterial load via Cranberry extract; and it contributes to urinary elimination functions via Heather extract, which helps to reduce the bacterial load in the bladder.
