Its gum-resin, used since ancient times by the Amerindians, is the source of "Canadian balsam".
The essential oil extracted from the needles and twigs has a mild, very pleasant balsamic scent.

How to use it

Diffusion into the air.

Inhalation: 2 drops in a bowl of boiling water.

Dilute 40 drops in 100ml of Plant oils.

Breathing tract infections (bronchitis): massage into the chest and upper back.
Rheumatism: apply to the area.

In the Bath: 20 drops diluted in a bath base.

Internal use: 1 to 2 drops on a sugar cube or in a teaspoonful of honey, left to melt in the mouth, 2 to 3 times a day.
