The Kneipp brand gets its name from its founder, Sebastian Kneipp, a German religious minister of the 19 th century and who defeated tuberculosis in 1849 as he discovered Hydrotherapy.
Thereby, he developed cures and treats based on natural plant extracts and many other natural ingredients.
When he died in 1897, the company became a global corporation and has been since exporting its products worldwide.
In 2011, the Kneipp brand celebrated its 120 th anniversary.
