The Torm Gallium thermometer is a glass clinical thermometer designed for measuring body temperature at home. It can also be used in hospitals because of its ability to be disinfected efficiently.
PRACTICAL: This thermometer can be used to measure temperature by different routes: oral, axillary and rectal. Taking the temperature takes a minimum of 4 minutes to ensure an accurate reading* *+0.1°C / -0.15°C
HYGIENIC: The Torm Gallium glass thermometer has a hermetically sealed glass casing that is hygienic and can be completely disinfected.
NOT TOXIC TO MAN OR THE ENVIRONMENT: It contains a special alloy of gallium, indium and tin. The thermometer contains no mercury, nickel or PVC. This thermometer works without batteries because it uses the principle of thermal expansion of metals.

How to use it
Using this thermometer is not a substitute for consulting a doctor. Persistent fever, particularly in Children, should be reported to a doctor. Before each use, clean the thermometer in accordance with the procedure described in the "Cleaning and disinfection instructions" section. - The temperature of the liquid used for measurement must always be below 36°C. - Position the thermometer according to the chosen measurement mode (axillary, rectal, oral). - The thermometer displays the body temperature after a minimum measurement time depending on the measurement mode chosen (see table above). - When the measurement is complete, the thermometer displays the measured temperature on the scale. The result can be read by tilting the thermometer slightly back and forth. - After each measurement, the liquid column must be brought back below 36°C. The easiest way to do this is immediately after the measurement. To do this, carefully insert the thermometer into the supplied stirrer as far as it will go and make sure it is well positioned (the thermometer should not move). Then grasp the end of the shaker and shake 15 to 20 times with a vigorous flick of the wrist until the liquid column falls below the indicated level. Read the instructions carefully before use.

CLEANING AND DISINFECTION INSTRUCTIONS The TORM Gallium glass thermometer has a hermetically sealed, hygienic glass casing and can be fully disinfected. The temperature of the cleaning and disinfecting solution must not exceed 42°C. Before and after each use, the thermometer should be cleaned with cold, soapy water. Disinfection should be carried out using a cotton wool pad soaked in alcohol or by immersion in a disinfectant solution (conditions and soaking time according to the disinfectant manufacturer's instructions). If the thermometer breaks, the spilled liquid can be cleaned up with a brush, a handkerchief or a cloth soaked in soapy water. Broken pieces can be disposed of as household waste. WARNINGS The thermometer is made of glass (Body), a fragile material that requires care during storage and use. - Please take all necessary precautions when measuring to avoid any risk of injury. - During oral measurement, do not bite the tip of the thermometer, talk, eat, play or run until the thermometer has been removed from your mouth. - Do not drop the thermometer or subject it to shocks. - If the glass casing is scratched, cracked or damaged, do not use the thermometer as there is a risk of injury. - If the thermometer is broken, the pieces of glass and the measuring fluid must be carefully cleaned. - The measuring fluid must not come into contact with precious or light metals, as it may react with them. - Shelf life: 5 years (from the date of manufacture indicated in the batch number).
