Arkomedica Bite Away Two Rapid insect bite treatment

Using this device is simple: place the pen on the button and wait for the 3 or 5-second heat pulse. This medical device works without any chemicals.

Not suitable for children under 3 years of age.

For self-treatment in adults and children aged 12 and over. For children under 12, the device should only be used with adult assistance.

• Apply the ceramic contact surface to the bite after removing the stinger if necessary, pressing lightly.
• Next, select one of the two treatment durations by pressing the corresponding button:
  • 3 seconds (left button) for first-time use or for those with sensitive skin.
  • 5 seconds (right button) for normal use.
• An indicator light will turn on and a sound signal will emit once the temperature is reached. The ceramic surface heats to approximately 51°C. The light will turn off and another sound signal will emit at the end of the selected treatment time.

When an insect bites, its saliva triggers an immune reaction in the skin. Immune cells are activated and histamine is released. Histamine can then bind to nerve cell receptors, which may cause itching at the affected area.

bite away® can relieve this itching through a brief, targeted heat pulse (up to 51°C). This is known as local thermotherapy. Even a localised application of heat can be enough to trigger a bodily response that relieves itching and pain.

If needed, the treatment can be repeated on the same insect bite. Please allow at least a 2-minute break between applications. Do not exceed 5 applications per hour on the same bite.
