Taurine is an amino acid derivative naturally present in the human body. Recognised as a powerful antioxidant and protector of cell membranes, it acts as a regulator of electrical activity in the brain and muscles (including the heart) which it ensures contractility *. It promotes the production of energy from fat, a major muscle fuel during long-term efforts to minimise the appearance of cramps and body aches.
