BIOCYTE SERRAPEPTASE is a dietary supplement based on serrapeptase, a proteolytic enzyme. Inflammation is our Body's Protection response against harmful stimuli. Serrapeptase is an enzyme found naturally in the digestive tract of silkworms, enabling them to digest their cocoons without damaging healthy tissue. SERRAPEPTASE contains a synthetic enzyme with the same properties as those of the silkworm at a dosage of 120,000 international units per day, i.e. 60mg of serrapeptase enzyme per day. A gastro-resistant capsule protects the enzyme because it is inactivated by the digestive juices of the stomach, which has an acidic pH. Finally, serrapeptase is combined with vitamin C, an essential vitamin that helps maintain the body's immune system.
