The OMRON M7 intelli IT blood pressure monitor also detects the risk of atrial fibrillation (AFib), which is rarely detected because it can be asymptomatic. The AFib function of the OMRON M7 intelli IT indicates the risk of AFib with a high level of specificity (93.8%) and sensitivity (95.5%).
In AFib mode, the OMRON M7 intelli IT takes three blood pressure readings and averages them to give accurate results. When measuring your blood pressure, the AFib light will flash if an irregular heartbeat on two or more occasions is detected. This is not a diagnosis, only an indication of potential AFib.
With the OMRON M7 intelli IT, keeping track of your blood pressure has never been easier. Its new model features a comparison mode that lets you examine the results of 100 recorded blood pressure readings. You can also view weekly, morning or evening averages.
What's more, you can automatically transfer your blood pressure readings to your smartphone: after Bluetooth pairing, the OMRON M7 intelli IT will update the OMRON connect app with all your most recent measurements. The Omron connect app will let you track your blood pressure or share your results with your doctor. Alternatively, you can simply ask Alexa "What was my last blood pressure measurement?" or compare results over time.
