What is a burn? A burn is an injury to the tissues, often caused by contact with a source of heat over a period of time.

Burns vary in severity:

  • 1st degree: Sunburn, household burn, rapid contact with a flame. The Skin is intact but red and painful, with no blistering or tearing. Healing occurs spontaneously after 5 to 6 days.
  • 2nd degree superficial: a blister appears filled with a transparent liquid. The pain is severe and the dermis red. Healing occurs spontaneously after 10 days. - deep stage 2: results from prolonged contact with a source of heat (water, boiling oil, etc.). The blisters are generally perforated. Under these blisters, the dermis is discoloured and the pain is slight. The epidermis is destroyed and requires medical attention. -
  • 3rd degree: the Skin is cardboard-like, white or brownish, insensitive, totally destroyed and requires hospital treatment.

Its tulle contains lipidocolloid technology, a unique combination of hydrocolloid particles and Vaseline. This formula relieves Pains and promotes healing. Plus, the dressing does not adhere to the wound and can be removed painlessly.
