D-mannose is a nutritional active ingredient of plant origin, naturally present in fruit and particularly in cranberries. It can also be produced by the body in small quantities, in which case we talk about endogenous D-mannose. D-mannose is not assimilated by the body and is therefore found in the urine.
D-mannose, a natural simple sugar, is obtained from non-genetically modified maize starch.
