No light, not accurate
Can take temp in left ear and will show 99.2 switch to right ear and 101.3. Never the same from reading to reading.

I love how quick it is.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've got four children and, whenever they're ill, I always check their temperatures. This set comes with a full working thermometer with batteries included. It also comes with disposable ear cones, replaceable after each use. What's clever about this one is how quick it reads temperatures. With just one press of the power button, the temperature is read. Other ones I've used usually take a few seconds to read but this one is immediate. Quick usually means inaccurate but having compared this one to the readings of my old one, it's spot on. I also like the beep alerts that this thermometer gives after taking a reading, which indicates a fever. One beep is OK. Two beeps are at a temperature of 38 degrees but above this, which is a dangerous body temperature, the thermometer beeps four times. The temperature is displayed clearly on an LCD display on the side of the unit. I just wish there was a storage case included with it to protect it while I'm not using it.

Very good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had this a while now, very well packaged and works well with current covid situation but takes precise temps, good for kids and in general very pleased with this product. Comes with spare ear pieces too so you dont run out straight away, easy and simple to use.

Easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this thermometer having a 5year old, I have seen a few reviews commenting on reliability but from the small amount of times we have used it it seems to read & work fine. Overall we are pleased with it, time will tell on reliability.

Easy to use and very accurate!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You know what’s a problem with modern digital thermometers. They are so very annoyingly inaccurate. I remember when I was a little kid my mum used to check my temperature with this old mercury-in-glass thermometer. She had one of these for ages. It was precise to the pain. Even when I sometimes try to skip the school pretending to be bit of sick side… there wasn’t really way around it. Currently, mercury thermometers are not available anymore as they have been discontinued as being unsafe due to the mercury. But they were very exact. What they really weren’t though is quick. You had to keep still for quite few minutes to get a good read. And if you were a kid you know how hard it was for you… or even more for your mum.
Today kids are even less patient. After all the world around us moves much quicker. So, waiting a good chunk of time for a result of old fashioned thermometer isn’t really possible. Modern digital thermometers resolve this problem and let you take temperature read in a matter of seconds. Unfortunately, while they do it very quickly, the final result varies from thermometer to thermometer, they show wide spectrum of reads. As many digital thermometers as many different temperature results. Trust me I know this as I have tried at least dozen of them however I managed to identify few of them that show most accurate result and these ones stayed in my medicine cabinet.
Braun ThermoScan 3 is one of them. It is also the one that me and my partner trust most and are confident to use for our children. You could call it our “first” thermometer and it means that if there is any suspicion of fever we will start the process of measuring the temperature with this particular one first. Followed by at least two more devices to reassure us that the result is accurate. Braun ThermoScan 3 is very compact, and its measuring tip is slender, so it fits in your hand nicely and comfortably during the whole process. And by a process I mean barely a few second of preparation and taking children temperature. What we also like is audio fever indicator(signal) with number of beeps indicates (marks) normal, elevated or high temperature. And what is most important, that with multi probe and error method we narrow down our choices to Braun ThermoScan 3 as one of the most accurate thermometers. So, we treasure it and keep in our medicine cabinet on the top “important” shelf.

Excellent thermometer, does the job perfectly!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got the Thermoscan 3 recently for our newborn and find it to be great. It is very light and easy to use, giving a really quick reading. Useful when you have a squirming baby to cope with! The display is clear even in the dark. The item beeps to confirm it does and thankfully not loud enough to startle our little one. Would definitely recommend!

Really excellent thermometer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So simple to use. It has great features such as storing the last temperature reading. It has a feature that tells you if reading is normal, borderline or too high (based on number of beeps). It comes with extra covers for the thermometer.
