The new elmex Opti-email Whitening range strengthens the resistance of enamel to erosive acid attacks. Enamel loses minerals under frequent acid attack. Over time, the outer layer of the tooth surface is eroded and irretrievably lost. Elmex® Micro Protection technology, containing tin chloride, chitosan (only in Toothpaste) and amine fluoride, forms a protective layer rich in tin which helps to protect the surface of the teeth against acid attack.
It also contains silica, an active ingredient that cleans teeth and has a slightly abrasive action that helps to reduce stains on teeth and restore their natural whiteness.
