Smooth and close shaveThis is the best shave I can remember after 40 years of daily use of electric shavers. The anti-friction coaating helps the shaver glide easily over the hairs and the blades cut short and clean leaving a very smooth feel to the face and neck

Worst shaver I've had.I have been using Philips Philishave electric shavers for around 45 years and have been perfectly happy with all of them until now. The series 6000 is unusable for me. The shaving heads are now bigger which makes shaving very awkward and the individual floating heads can work against each other so if one is down and one is still up that one can dig in or the edge of it can drag on your face. I am used to floating heads that work together, this design is a backward step in shaver design.

Not up to the jobNot a great shaver. Didn't give as good shave as my old Philips. If you have tough stubble you could spend all day with this shaver and it probably wouldn't make much of an impact.
As for quality it gave up the ghost after 9 months. Philips have been good enough to replace it under guarantee.
Lets see what the newer 5000 series is like?

It does what it says it doesI have had a beard since I was 18 as shaving made my face so sore because my whiskers grow in all directions it's like having 4 shaves to get smooth.
This razor shaved me for the first time without making my face sore, well done so pleased with it as can now go beard free now

Great wet shaverDisappointed at first as it sounded less powerful than my old Phillips but it dry shaves just as well.where it really scores is wet shaving it shaves as well as a blade razor when you use foam and glides across the skin much easier

Product ok but not greatShaver heads are far from the edge of the cutting surface, so it is hard to shave close to my nose. You have to fit a different head for that, and the different head is not too great, basically its a mini-hedge-cutter!
I accidentally broke a small part when cleaning the shaver for the first time (the cutter heads fly off when trying to shake water out after rinsing it. No warning in the instructions about that!). Now when I try to obtain a replacement part, it isn't available. This for a product which is apparently brand new on the market. VERY poor from Philips.
