Gel vaginal based on Ectoin 3%, intended for use as an adjuvant in the prevention and treatment of vaginal atrophy.

- EKTAGYN® is a vaginal gel containing 3% ectoin and Hyaluronic Acid.
- EKTAGYN® is a pH 4.5 medical device intended for use as an adjuvant in the prevention and treatment of vaginal atrophy.
- By maintaining the natural hydration of the vaginal mucosa, EKTAGYN® relieves the symptoms of vaginal atrophy such as dryness, burning sensations, pruritus and discomfort during sexual intercourse.
- Ectoin is a low molecular weight amino acid derivative, which provides a humectant and soothing action and has moisturising and protective properties on tissues. Ectoin creates an aqueous defence barrier for the mucous membranes, which are thus strengthened and naturally protected from irritation.
- Hyaluronic Acid is a highly soluble, high molecular weight, non-sulphated glycosaminoglycan. Thanks to its muco-mimetic and viscoelastic properties, it ensures good lubrication of the vaginal mucosa.
- The combination of ectoin and Hyaluronic Acid helps relieve symptoms of mild to moderate/severe vaginal atrophy, as well as vaginal dryness and irritation on application and over the long term.
