A safe, simple retinol serumI had no issues as a first time retinoid user with this product. After three months of twice-weekly use, I found it helped a lot with my acne and clogged pores, but it didn't seem to do much for my hyperpigmentation or fine lines. I would recommend starting with this even if you plan to later switch to a stronger product.

Smoothes the surface of the skinThe cerave resurfacing Retinol Serum gently exfoliates and brightens skin and helps to reduce the appearance of post-acne marks and blemishes. My skin has started to look a lot more even, but as it contains retinol, you have to be careful in the sun, as it can make your skin more sensitive. It's best to use sun protection with retinol products. The inclusion of niacinamide & 3 Essential Ceramides helps to protect the skin barrier.

The only thing that's helped my skinI have suffered with combination skin, persistent recurring spots and resulting hyperpigmentation for years. I tried prescription strength retinol which stung my skin and ruined my skin barrier. I have tried BHAs, AHAs, blackhead scrubs, masks, a load of different serums. Nothing I have used before has actually worked. I swear to god this is the only thing that keeps my spots at bay. I use it most evenings, and when I wake up, my skin isn't as oily as a chip pan (like it usually is), I hardly ever get spots, and I feel like my hyperpigmentation is fading. I feel more comfortable not wearing foundation now, which is a massive thing for me. This serum is my go-to and I am going to be purchasing on repeat, so if you could please NOT DISCONTINUE.

Not for younger skinMade my acne worse, probably my fault as you should use it when os adult. This created more acne and scars wouldn’t recommend for teen skin and teen acne. More for adult acne scars and acne. Use wisely and not much so your skin may get used to it.
