For cats: Treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis), can be integrated into a therapeutic programme for the treatment of Flea Bite Allergy Dermatitis, if this has been diagnosed by the vet beforehand.
Protection against flea infestations lasts for 5 weeks.
Treatment of tick infestations (Ixodes
ricinus).
Ticks (
Ixodes ricinus) present on the animal at the time of treatment will be killed within 48 hours.
The
treatment does not protect against new infestations of ticks.

Special precautions for use :
  • In animals: External use only.
    Avoid contact with the animal's eyes.
    In the event of accidental contact with the eyes, wash immediately with plenty of water.
    Animals must be accurately weighed before treatment.
    It is important to ensure that the product is applied to an area where the animal cannot lick itself and to ensure that animals do not lick each other after treatment.
    It is possible for ticks to attach themselves to animals.
    For this reason, the transmission of infectious diseases cannot be ruled out.
    The potential toxicity of the product for kittens less than 8 weeks old in contact with a treated cat has not been documented.
    Particular attention should be paid to such cases.
    Do not apply the product to wounds or skin lesions.
    Do not use in animals other than the target species, particularly rabbits and guinea pigs.
  • To be taken by the person administering the product to animals: Keep pipettes in their original packaging until use.
    This product may irritate mucous membranes and eyes.
    Consequently, avoid contact with the mouth and eyes.
    Persons with a known hypersensitivity to Fipronil or the excipients should avoid all contact with the veterinary medicinal product.
    Avoid contact with fingers.
    If this happens, wash hands with soap and water.
    In the event of accidental contact with the eyes, wash immediately with plenty of pure water.
    Do not smoke, drink or eat during application.
    Wash hands after use.
    Swallowing the product is harmful.
    Prevent Children from having access to pipettes and dispose of the used pipette immediately after applying the product.
    Until the application site is dry, treated animals must not be handled and Children must not be allowed to play with treated animals.
    It is therefore advisable not to treat animals during the day but rather in the early evening, and not to let animals that have just been treated sleep with their owners, especially children
Special storage precautions: Use immediately after first opening the pack.
No special storage precautions regarding temperature.
Keep the pipette in the blister and box until use to protect it from light.
Do not use this veterinary medicine after the expiry date shown on the label.
The expiry date corresponds to the last day of the month indicated.
Keep out of sight and reach of Children.

Special precautions to be taken when disposing of unused veterinary medicinal products or waste derived from the use of these medicinal products: Empty packaging and any leftover product must be disposed of in accordance with current practices governed by waste regulations.
The speciality may be toxic to aquatic organisms.
Do not contaminate ponds, rivers and streams with the product or empty containers.
Keep out of sight and reach of Children.

For external use only.
Do not remove pipette from blister until ready to use.
In the absence of data, the product should not be used on kittens under 8 weeks old and/or weighing less than 1 kg.

Dosage and administration: Apply topically to the Skin. External use only.

Dosage: 1 pipette of 0.5 ml per cat.

Method of administration : Hold the pipette vertically.
Tap the narrow part of the pipette to ensure that the contents are in the main part of the pipette.
Cut the tip of the pipette with scissors.
Spread the hair between the shoulder blades until the Skin is visible.
Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and press gently to empty its contents onto the skin, preferably at two points, one at the base of the skull and a second 2-3 cm lower down.
Special care must be taken to avoid excessive wetting of the hair with the product, which can cause the hair to stick to the treatment site.
However, if this occurs, it will disappear within 24 hours of application.
In the absence of safety studies, the minimum treatment interval is 4 weeks.
For optimum control of flea infestation, the treatment schedule may be based on the local epidemiological situation.
